The State Department is the diplomatic branch of the Aurora Republic.  It negotiates trade and defense treaties, and provides ambassadors, consuls and administrative staff for the many embassies Aurora has throughout the Verse.  Additionally, State is responsible for entry and exit visas, passport issuance, and immigration services.
